BACKGROUND:

  • As a child, Paolo was not one to be seen leading races. In school mile runs, he would often be found in the rear pack. Eventually, as he entered the design, broadcast and advertising industry, he often found himself working long hours, cigarette in hand, fitness sidelined
  • By his mid-twenties, Paolo had become pre-diabetic, reaching the upper end of the weight spectrum at 225 pounds
  • Committed to turning his life around, he immersed himself intensively in exercise physiology and decided to take on a complete lifestyle change

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • IRONMAN World Championship 2018, Kailua-Kona - Qualifier and Finisher
  • 3rd Place AG at the inaugural IRONMAN Philippines 2018
  • Qualified for the IRONMAN World Championship in his first IRONMAN race
  • Third fastest Filipino to have ever raced Challenge Roth, racing it as his first full-distance race in 2017
  • Fastest Asian in his age-group at Challenge Vietnam 70.3 2016
  • 1st Place AG 40-44 Black Arrow Express 5i50 2019
  • Fastest Filipino male in his age-group at Cobra 70.3 2015
  • Finished his first 70.3 with a time of 5:07
  • Currently races with a multisport team based in the Philippines - REVV Multisport
